1. Mount Everest Mount Everest, also known as Sagarmatha in Nepal, is the highest mountain in the world. It is located at the northern parth of Nepal bordering with China. Its peak is 8,848 metres (29,029 ft) above sea level. 2. Kumari - The Living Goddess Kumari - The Living Goddess is the tradition of worshiping young pre-pubescent girls as manifestations of the divine female energy or devi in Hindu religious traditions. The word Kumari, derived from Sanskrit Kaumarya meaning "virgin", means young unmarried girls in Nepali and is a name of the goddess Durga as a child. 3. Gautam Buddha The Buddha was born Siddhartha Gautama, a prince of the Sakya tribe of Nepal, in approximately 566 BC. When he was twentynine years old, he left the comforts of his home to seek the meaning of the suffering he saw around him. After six years of arduous yogic training, he abandoned the way of self-mortification and instead sat in mindful meditation beneath a bodhi tree. On the full moon of May, with the rising of the morning star, Siddhartha Gautama became the Buddha, the enlightened one. 4. Pashupatinath Pashupatinath temple is the most sacred Hindu shrine and one of the greatest Shiva sites, is located on the banks of the Bagmati River north-east of Kathmandu Valley, the capital of Nepal. 5. Durbar Squares - Kathmandu Valley Durbar Square is the generic name used to describe plazas and areas opposite the old royal palaces in Nepal. It consists of temples, idols, open courts, water fountains and more. Before the Unification of Nepal, Nepal consisted of small kingdoms, and Durbar Squares are most prominent remnants of those old kingdoms in Nepal. In particular, three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley, belonging to the three Newar kingdoms situated there before unification, are most famous: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. All three are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. 8. Annapurna Base Camp Trek The Annapurna Base Camp trek is one of the most popular treks in the world. Chitwan National Park Chitwan National Park is the first national park in Nepal established in 1973 and granted the status of a World Heritage Site in 1984. It covers an area of 932 sq km and is located in the subtropical Inner Terai lowlands of south-central Nepal in the Chitwan District. In altitude it ranges from about 100 m (330 ft) in the river valleys to 815 m (2,674 ft) in the Churia Hills. It is very popular among tourists for Jungle Safari, Elephant Riding, One Horn Rhino, Royal Bengal Tiger and more. 10. Lumbini Lumbini is a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the Rupandehi District of Nepal. It is the place where Queen Mayadevi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautam. Lumbini is one of many magnets for pilgrimage that sprang up in places pivotal to the life of Gautam Buddha. Lumbini has a number of temples, including the Mayadevi Temple and several others which are still under construction. Many monuments, monasteries and a museum. 14. Gurkha The Gurkha are soldiers from Nepal.They are derived from the hill town and district of Gorkha from which the Kingdom of Nepal expanded. "Better to die than be a coward" is the motto of the world-famous Nepalese Gurkha soldiers who are an integral part of the British Army. 15. Sherpa The Sherpas are a tribe of Tibetan origin who occupy the high valleys around the base of Mount Everest in northeastern Nepal. The sherpas are usually happy and easy going. They take great pride in their mountaineering heritage. They have reputation as excellent porters and guides on mountain-climbing and trekking expeditions.

The only man to achieve 110 in 100 mark paper.

Have you ever heard of anyone achieving more mark than full mark? In fact it is impossible, and you might have never heard of it. But there is one person who got 110 marks in 100 full mark exam. The person is no other than a popular scientist and mathematician of India Mr. Satyendra Nath Bose.

The very talented Bose was born in Calcutta. He got his initial education at local school and later admitted to a Hindu School. The famous mathematician Upendra Bakshi used to teach mathematics in the school. Mr. Bakshi gave him 110 marks in a 100 full mark mathematics paper. The marks given was against the rule but it happened.

After knowing about it, the principal of the school inquired teacher Bakshi about it and he replied. Satyendra didn't leave any question and answered all questions correctly in given time. He even solved many questions in multiple approach correctly, so I can't stop myself giving him extra marks. After listening to Mr. Bakshi, the principal was speechless and was awarded with 110 marks in 100 mark mathematics paper. Also during his time at MMC, in a mathematics paper, no one can solve the answer and he was only a student to claim the question is wrong, which he proved infornt of his professors.
